About Us
Naange, meaning "sun" in Guinean Pular, is a brand deeply rooted in the rich heritage of Sahelian West Africa. Founded in Washington, D.C., by Aliyatou, a native Washingtonian of Fulani and African American descent, Naange was born from a love of scent, memory, and spiritual connection. We believe that fragrance is a journey—one that transports you to places of warmth, tradition, and nostalgia. Our handcrafted products are carefully developed over months to achieve the perfect blend of authenticity and luxury. Each oil is imported from Dubai, while the resins and woods used in our churai are sourced directly from Africa and the Middle East. We take pride in supporting African and Muslim-owned businesses in the D.C. area, ensuring that every scent we offer carries the essence of home.At Naange, quality and intention come first. Every product is handmade in small batches, never mass-produced, to preserve the artistry and consistency of our creations.Beyond fragrance, Naange is committed to community. 5% of all proceeds go directly to Labé, Guinea—Aliyatou’s maternal homeland—to provide women and young girls with hygiene essentials, clothing, and educational resources.Naange is more than a brand—it’s a bridge between cultures, a celebration of ancestry, and a way to honor sacred spaces through scent.
